Melaleuca thymifolia Thyme honey-myrtle

Native to eastern Australia. It has fragrant purple flowers in primarily in spring, but has a long flowering period. It usually grows up to 1m tall.

Uses

Low growing hedge, potting, floral use, attracting nectar loving insects and birds. Spicy fragrance when crushed.

Position & soil

It is adaptable to a variety of soils and conditions. It is frost and drought hardy but does best with moderate-high watering.
