A hardy attractive fast growing deciduous shade tree known for its edible flower stalks, growing between 10 and in 15 metres in troical to subtropical climates, but generally in cultivation will get to half that size. A nice little gem that isn't widely known.

Uses

The swollen fruit stalks can be dried and have much the same texture and taste as a raisin with a hint of cinnamon.

Position & Soil
