A large fast growing native Australian tree, that grows to around 10 meters in cultivation. Leaves are dark green with a bronze/gold underside. During the summer months’ trees become covered with a spray of creamy flower spikes. These fluffy fronds grow in clusters, with the white spikes splaying out and emitting a strong perfume.
Great for screening or as a wind break and is virtually maintenance free. Be aware that the root system can be invasive so plant away from pipes and drainage.
Naturally a rainforest tree, the White Oak has become extremely versatile and can now survive well in a wide range of soils and climates. Full sun to part shade, likes a sandy loamy well drained soil.
