A sweet tasting fruit when ripe a little more tart when smaller.
Can be eaten straight from the tree, it's star shape makes for a pretty garnish on salads, also great for juicing and chutneys. Carambola can also be used as a stain remover.
Prefers full sun and humid conditions, not particularly fussy when it comes to soil type but requires good drainage.
